Cziczmany to niewielka wieś niedaleko Żiliny. Niewielka, ale jakże wyjątkowa! Sama osada istniała już w XIII w. Wyjątkowe w niej jest to, że większość chałup zbudowana jest z bali, a dekorowane są owe chaty w różne białe wzory, a mieszkańcy mają swoja muzykę, stroje i taniec. Wprawdzie w 1921 wieś spłonęła, ale odbudowano ją szczegółowo dużym nakładem sił i pieniędzy państwowych. Do dziś przetrwały 136 chaty dekorowane w sposób tradycyjny. W dwóch najlepiej zachowanych domach są wystawy etnograficzne. Nieprawdopodobne miejsce. 

Čičmany is a small village near Zilina. A small, but very unique! The settlement existed in the XIII century, it is unique, because most houses are built of logs, and these cottages are decorated in various white patterns, and residents have their music, costumes and dancing. Although in 1921 the village was burned, but it was rebuilt it in detail with a large expenditure of energy and public money. 136 survived huts to this day are decorated in the traditional manner. In two of the best preserved houses there are ethnographic exhibitions. Incredible place.
