Frydlant to niewielkie (7.500 mieszkańców) miasteczko w kraju Libereckim. Małe ale niezwykle urocze i pełne zabytków. Miasto jest najstarsze w okolicy, bo pierwsze wzmianki pochodzą z 1278, kiedy ród Bibrsteinów kupił je od króla Czech. Miał byc to gród obserwacyjny, prawdopodobnie od jego funkcji pochodzi nazwa. Z uwagi na swą rolę, często przetaczały sie tedy rózne armie, m.in. Napoleon. W XIX w. nastapił rozwój przemysłu tekstylnego, dzieki czemu wzrosło znaczenie miasteczka. W czasie II wojny miasto ocalało, więc odnowione niedawno kamieniczki błyszczą pięknie w słońcu.

Frydlant is a small (7,500 inhabitants) town in Liberec country. Small, but beautiful and full of interesting things. The town is the oldest in the area, beacause first notes come from 1278, when the Birbsteins' bought the town from Czech's king. It was supposed to be a watch keep, so probably the name comes of the town from that. Due to its role, there were many armies rolling through the town, including Napoleon's army. In the XIX c. the textil industry blew up and the meaning of the town arose. During the II world war Czech didn't fight, so the town was not destroyed. The renewed houses shine beautifully in the sun :)

Zamek

Zamek zbudowała rodzina Ronovec w XIII w., po czym w 1278 przejęła go rodzina Birbsztajnów, która rozbudowała zamek. W 1620 budowlę zdobył Albrecht z Waldsztajnu po bitwie pod Białogórą. Po jego zamordowaniu zamek przejęła rodzina Gallasów, która była włascicielami przez dlugie lata. Obecnie w zamku jest muzeum, dośc ciekawe.

Castle

The castle was built in XIII c. by Ronovec family, but it was taken by Birbstein family in 1278. they made castle bigger. In 1620 Albrecht from Valdstein conquered the castle after the battle of White Mountain. After his decapitation, the castle was taken by Gallas family. They were the owners for a long time. Right now, there's a quite interesting museum inside.

Miasteczko może i małe, ale urokliwe. Nie zdajemy sobie sprawy, ile pięknych miejsc jest zaraz za miedzą i jeździmy do Tunezji, Egiptu, czy Maroka, gdzie nawet wyjśc z hotelu sie poszwendać nie mozna...

A town is small, but pretty. We don't pay any attention to what's in such countries like Czech Republic and that's wrong, coz there are sometimes more treasures than in Tunisia or Morocco, where u can't even go out of the hotel to wander here or there...
