CRIKVENICA

Crikvenica to niewielka miejscowość (12.000 mieszkańców) nad Adriatykiem.

Crikvenica is a small town (12.000 inhabitants) at the Adriatic harbour. The name is taken from croatian word 'cirkva' - which means 'church', because of the monastery of St. Paul nearby. In XIX c. first tourist started to come here, so in 1888 the beach was made and 3 years later the first good hotel was built. That situation is up till this day and it's one of the most precious spas in the country, because of the incredible climate. And they have sandy beach, which is a phenomenon in Croatia. Apart from that, there's nothing much here.
